UNMASKED: A Journey to Authenticity
A Day of Self-Discovery, Connection & Renewal
Who am I when I don’t have to perform, impress, seek approval, or meet someone else’s expectations?
That question is at the heart of this retreat.
Unmasked is for LGBTQ+ men who recognize what it is to adapt — to family, society, relationships, work, and sometimes even to expectations within our own communities — and who are curious about what it might feel like to reconnect with who they are underneath all of that.
On Saturday, December 12, we’re gathering a small, intimate group of no more than 12 participants, supported by two facilitators, for a full day in a beautiful country setting at Friendly Fires in Val-des-Monts.
The retreat is co-facilitated by two people bringing complementary experience: one facilitator brings lived experience of the community and many of the pressures this retreat explores, while Natalie Fraser brings nearly 30 years of experience counselling, facilitating retreats, and supporting people in self-discovery, mindfulness, and personal growth.
For the day, the entire space is ours, reserved exclusively for retreat participants. That gives us privacy, room to settle in, and the freedom to use the indoor and outdoor spaces, enjoy the sauna and hot tub, gather around the fire, and let the day unfold without feeling rushed or crowded.
Together, we’ll move through guided reflection, honest conversation, gentle yoga and meditation, journaling, movement, sauna and hot tub time, an evening fire ceremony, Yoga Nidra, and plenty of room simply to breathe and be.
There is no pressure to share more than feels right. No previous experience with yoga, meditation, or retreat work is needed.
